Contacts and Your Address Book 62Synchronizing AccountsFrom the Accounts menu you decide if you want applications tosynchronize, send, and receive data at any given time, or if youwant the applications to synchronize automatically. Afterdetermining how you want the accounts to synchronize, indicatewhich account to synchronize with your Contacts list.1. From the main Home screen, touch Contacts .2. Press ➔ More ➔ Accounts. Your profileauto-generated name and number displays.3. Determine which type of account information you want tosynchronize with your Contact list. Selections are:• Background data: (applications that sync, send, and receive dataany time).• Auto-sync: allows applications to automatically synchronize.4. Touch Add account.5. Touch an account type to add.6. Follow the on-screen instructions. The selected accounttype synchronizes with your Contacts list.Address Book OptionsYou can access Address Book options while at the main AddressBook page or while in the details page for a specific entry.Options in Address Book1. From the main Home screen, touch Contacts ➔ .2. The following options display:• Create: allows you to create a new contact.• Search: allows you to search through your contact list. Use thekeypad to enter a name or group of letters and touch .• Display options: You can choose to only display contacts that havephone numbers, numbers stored to your SIM card, or numbersstored on your phone. Touch a selection and touch Done.• Speed dial: allows you to set up speed-dialing. For moreinformation, refer to “Making a Call Using Speed Dial” onpage 37.• Get friends: allows you to get contacts from your friends onFacebook, Twitter, or MySpace. You can also get contacts fromCorporate or Google accounts. Touch Add account and then followthe on-screen instructions. For more information, refer to“Synchronizing Accounts” on page 62.• More: the following additional options are displayed:– Import/Export: allows you to move contacts to or from your memorycard.– My profile: allows you to set up a profile for yourself. The informationwill be the same that you can add for a new contact.
