542. Tap a contact name (the name you want to join to anotherentry).Note: Typically this is the same contact with a different name or accountinformation.3. Press Join contact.4. Tap the second contact entry (the entry in which to join). Thesecond contact is now joined with the first and the accountinformation is merged into one screen.Note: The information is still maintained in both entries, but displays in onerecord for easier viewing when you join the contacts.5. Tap the joined contacts to view the contact information youjoined. The contacts and information displays with an iconnext to the contact name to indicate what type of accountinformation is contained in the entry.Unjoining a Contact1. From the main Home screen, tap Contacts .2. Tap a contact name (the account name from which you wantto unlink an entry).3. Tap the Joined contacts bar at the bottom of the display.4. Tap the minus sign next to the entry that you want tounjoin. The contact is now unjoined and no longer displaysin the merged record screen.Marking a Contact as DefaultWhen you use messaging type applications, the application needsto know which information is primary (default) in a contact entrylist. For example, you may have three different contact records forJohn Smith, so the application will be looking for the “default”number or entry.1. From the main Home screen, tap Contacts .2. Tap a Contact name.3. Press Mark as default. The Mark as default screendisplays radio buttons next to the contact names or phonenumbers of all the linked contacts. The radio button next tothe default contact will be green.Note: Only contacts that have been created on the phone can be marked asdefault. The Mark as default option will not display on contacts importedfrom your SIM card.4. To change the default contact, tap the radio button next toanother entry that you want to be the default. The radiobutton will turn green, then tap Save.
