It includes such settings as: display, security, and memory.Wireless and NetworkFlight modeFlight mode allows you to use many of your phone’s features, suchas Camera and Calendar, when you are in an airplane or in anyother area where making or receiving calls or data is prohibited.Important!: When your phone is in Airplane Mode, it cannot send or receiveany calls or access online information or applications.1. From the Home screen, tap Settings Wirelessand network.2. Tap Flight mode. A check mark displayed next to the featureindicates Flight mode is active.Activating Wi-Fi1. From the Home screen, tap Settings Wirelessand network Wi-Fi settings.2. Tap Wi-Fi. A check mark displayed indicates Wi-Fi is active.For more information, refer to “Wi-Fi” on page 114.Network NotificationBy default, when Wi-Fi is on, you receive notifications in the Statusbar anytime your phone detects an available Wi-Fi network. Youcan deactivate this feature if you do not want to receivenotifications.1. From the Home screen, tap Settings Wirelessand network Wi-Fi settings.2. Tap Network notification. A check mark displayed next to thefeature indicates Network notification is active.3. Tap Network notification again to remove the checkmarkand deactivate this feature.WPS Button ConnectionThe WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button is a standard for easyand secure wireless network set up and connections. To use WPS,the connecting device must support WPS and be compatible withWi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) security. WPS can automaticallyset up a random network name and WPA wireless security forwireless Wi-Fi phones, routers, access points, computers,adapters, and other electronic devices.
