Messages78Settings (Menu 1.6)Via this menu, you can set up default SMSinformation.The following options are available:Service centre: allows you to store or change thenumber of your SMS centre required when sendingmessages. You must obtain this number from yourservice provider.Validity period: allows you to set the length oftime your messages are stored at the messagecentre while attempts are made to deliver them.Message type: allows you to set the message typeto Text, Fax, Voice, ERMES, X400, or E-Mail. Thenetwork can convert the messages into the selectedformat.Common: the following options are available:Reply path: allows the recipient of your SMSmessage to send you a reply through your messagecentre, if the service is provided by the network.Delivery report: allows you to set on or off. Whenthis function is set to on, the network informs youwhether or not your message has been delivered.Memory status (Menu 1.7)You can check the number of SMS or EMS used,followed by the available capacity of phone and SIMmemory.Messages79Delete all (Menu 1.8)You can delete all messages stored in the SIM cardand phone memories in this menu.1. Scroll to a message box and place a check markahead it by pressing the Select soft key.Selecting All places check marks on all of themessage boxes.2. If necessary, repeat step 1 to check anotherbox.3. When you have finished checking, press the Oksoft key.4. When a confirming message appears, press theYes soft key to delete all of the messages in thebox(es).Otherwise, press the No soft key.
