Messages80Broadcast (Menu 1.9)This network service allows you to receive textmessages on various topics, such as the weather ortraffic. Messages are displayed immediately as theyare received, provided that:• the phone is in Idle mode• the Receive option is set to On• the message channel is currently active on thechannel listWhen you get broadcast messages, you can see themessages in Idle mode. If it is short you can seethe display, otherwise, press the New CB soft keyto read the message.The following options are available:Read: lets you read the received broadcastmessages.Archive: shows the list of the messages you savedfrom the temporary list.Temporary: shows the latest messages. Thesemessages will be gone when the phone is switchedoff.If the message is long, press the UP or Down key.When you see one of the message, press theOptions soft key to access following options.Cut number: shows the list of numbers included inthe message.Save (Temporary only): saves this message toArchive list.Messages81Delete: delete this message.Delete All: delete all message in the list.Receive: allows you to turn the reception ofbroadcast messages on or off.Channel: the check mark ahead of All indicatesenable of channel.To enable or disable this channel press the Selectsoft key, then select Enable or Disable.The Add channel option allows you to add a newchannel to the channel list. Enter the appropriatechannel code obtained from your service providerand a title for the channel.Language: selects a language you prefer. Then,You can get cell broadcast messages only in thelanguage you selected.
