Use a•commercially available recharger.Using the lithium ion batteryOpen the battery compartment cover on theside of the unit, and insert the battery into thecompartment with the correct orientation.Charging the lithium ion batteryThere are two ways to charge the lithium ionbattery.Charging with an AC adapterConnect a PS-P520 AC adapter (sold separately)to the unit's DC IN 5V connector. Charging takesabout three hours. (See “Using an AC adapter(sold separately)” on page 18.)Charging with a computerConnect with a computer using the includedUSB cable. Charging takes about six hours. (See“8–Connecting with a Computer” on page 37.)NOTEConnect this unit to the computer directly. Proper•operation cannot be guaranteed when using a USBhub.When connected by USB, recharging occurs even if•the unit’s power is off.When recharging with a computer, this unit enters•the USB mode, so other functions cannot be used.The CHARGE indicator lights while charging and•turns off when charging is complete.Using AA batteriesOpen the battery compartment cover on the backof the unit, install the batteries with the correct+/- orientation and close the battery compartmentcover.When using AA batteries, set the type of batteryin order to accurately show the amount of powerremaining and allow the unit to accuratelydetermine whether power is available for properoperation.
