30Switching Radio Text on andoff The Radio text function can be switched on and off by long presses on the button on the remote control handset. Repeatedly if necessary.Mono / Stereo(only FM – Radio)You can toggle the radio of the SDV 3100 HV between stereo and monoreception by a long press on the button on the F3100. The receptionmode is shown on the screen by the following symbols:' ' (Mono) or '' (Stereo)If the station you wish to listen to is very weak or very distant, and can onlybe picked up with severe background noise, you should always switch toMONO mode as this reduces the unwanted hiss significantly. The Mono and Stereo symbols are only shown in the detailed screen display.DAB - RadioSelecting DAB radio Select the source "DAB Radio" with the source selection button onthe F3100 or by turning the SOURCE / VOLUME knob on the front panel of theSDV 3100 HV. Depending on the frequency band (block), it may take up to two seconds toswitch stations when in DAB mode.Displaya) Displays the type of reception currently in use.b) Hear the music type or style is displayed, e.g. Pop Music.This information is only displayed if the transmitting station broadcasts itas part of the RDS system. If you are listening to a station which does notsupport the RDS system, or only supports it in part, these informationfields remain empty.c) The frequency and / or the station name is displayed in enlarged form.
