Playback of DSD streams up toDSD256 and PCM streams up to 768 kHz is possible with MAC operatingsystems.If the device is to be operated in conjunction with one of the stated Windowsoperating systems, a dedicated driver must first be installed. With the driverinstalled, it is possible to play DSD streams up to DSD1024 and PCM streamsup to 768 kHz. The installation instructions provide detailedinformation on how and where the settings are to be changed.Notes onsoftware By default, the operating systems listed above do not support ‘native’ musicplayback. This means that the PC always converts the data stream to a fixedsample rate, regardless of the sample rate of the file to be played. Separatesoftware is available - e.g. J.
