Failure to isolate the generator from the utility’s electricaldistribution system could cause output from the generator to backfeed into theutility lines and cause injury or death to utility workers!► When the generator is used as a stand-by power supply, it must be equippedwith a device which isolates it from the utility’s distribution system.► An isolation device is also required if the generator is being used as a backup tosome other type of power supply system.CAUTIONPossibility of injury or equipment damage. Failure to match phase rotation andvoltage may cause equipment connected to the generator to operate incorrectly.► When using the generator as a stand-by or substitute power supply, make surethe voltage and phase rotation of the line connections match those of the utilitylines or of any other power source normally used.DANGERElectrocution hazard. Lethal voltage is always present in the transfer switch once ithas been properly installed.► Disconnect power before servicing the transfer switch.
