Configuration 4-19Previously, when a negative print was produced on a laser printer, gray scales weredistorted, and small spaces in text and lines were obscured by toner bleed. NEITaddresses these problems, allowing you to adjust toner application when producing anegative image to obtain crisp, clean lines and text. As menu settings increase from 0to 20, the amount of plugging decreases. Because some international and North American paper sizes are very similar insize, the Utility: PaperMode configuration menu specifies whether the cassette settingis for North American paper sizes (US) or for International paper sizes (Euro).Power SavePower Save conserves power when the printer is not in use. When enabled, this featureputs the printer into a low-power state after 30 minutes of inactivity.Set Power Save from the Utility: Power Save configuration menu. Off, the factorydefault, disables this feature; On enables it.Printer TimeoutThe Timeout feature allows you to select the number of seconds the printer waits foradditional data before cancelling a job and returning to the Ready/Idle state.
