XEROX WIDE FORMAT COPY SYSTEM Getting to know the WIDE FORMAT COPY SYSTEM • 31The [Power Off] screen will display briefly on the control panel, andthen the control panel and the printer will shut down.The controller will complete its shutdown within 30 seconds from themoment the control panel and printer shut down. The controller’spower button lamp will go out when the controller completes itsshutdown.From the Web Print Management ToolSelect [Utilities] > Shutdown > [Shutdown].The control panel, printer, and controller will undergo the samepower down process as described above.3. Move the printer power switch to the off position.4. Move the printer circuit breaker switch to the off position.The Scan System requires about 45 seconds to warm up and initializeafter you power on the WIDE FORMAT COPY SYSTEM. Once theinitialization is complete, the READY screen is displayed. Below is anexample of the READY screen.READY TO COPYINSERT DOCUMENTAUTO1100.0 %Ready to Copy ScreenYou can now insert a document into the Document Feed Tray of theScan System. The Scan System will then transport the document to thestarting position. This transportation of the document is called staging.If you cannot insert a document into the feed mechanism and achievestaging after approximately 4 minutes, refer to the "Problem solving"section of this guide.Powering off the SystemTo power off the WIDE FORMAT COPY SYSTEM, do the following:1. Power off the Controller and the Printer.• For the 510 Series, switch the Circuit Breaker Switch to theOff (O) position. Then switch the Printer Switch to the Off(O) position.• For the 721P, first power off the Printer. Then power off theController.2.
