32 Chapter 3 Basic Copy OperationsSelecting the Media Cut ModeSets the media cutting method when roll media is being used. The following fourmedia cut methods are available.• Standard Portrait Cuts the roll media to a standard shape when the document isfed into the machine vertically.• Standard Landscape Cuts the roll media to a standard shape when the document isfed into the machine horizontally.• Synchronized Cuts the roll media to the same size as the document or inaccordance with the enlargement/reduction percentages. Thetop and bottom margins can be set within a range of 0 to 999mm.• Variable Length Cuts the roll media to the specified length. This can bespecified within a range of 210 to 15,000 mm.The advanced settings are set up on special screens when the keyand the key are pressed.Refer to "4.8 Cutting Roll Paper" in this manual for further more details on thisfunction (page 58).
