Page 22FT D X 1200 O PERA T ING M ANUAL[SPLIT] SwitchPress this button to operate split frequency betweenVFO-A (used for reception) and VFO-B (used fortransmission). If you press and hold in the [SPLIT]button for one second, the “Quick Split” feature willbe engaged. VFO-B transmit will automatically beset to a frequency 5 kHz higher than the VFO-A re-ceive frequency, with the same operating mode. Thetransceiver will operate in the Split mode.[V/M] SwitchThis button toggles frequency control between VFO-A and the memory system. In memory mode, “MEM”(Memory Channel) will be shown in the display toindicate the current selection. Pressing the [V/M]button displays the original memory frequency, andthe “MEM” will be displayed. Pressing it once morereturns frequency operation to VFO-A, and the iconwill no longer be displayed.[MA] SwitchPressing this button momentarily, will display thecontents of the currently-selected memory channelfor 10 seconds.Holding [MA] button in for one second copies thedata from the selected memory to VFO-A, and twobeeps sound. Previous data in VFO-A will be over-written.[AM] SwitchPressing this button momentarily, displays the con-tents of the currently-selected memory channel for10 seconds.Pressing and holding in this key for one second (untilthe double beep) copies the current operating datainto the currently selected memory channel, over -writing any previous data stored there.front panel controls & switches
