It also outputsvoice audio during transmission if the “MONI” isturned on.Peak signal level is 300 mVp-p at 10 k-Ohms. Thefront panel [AF] knobs do not affect the signals atthis jack.REM (REMOTE) JackBy plugging the optional FH-2 Remote ControlKeypad into this gold-plated jack, direct access tothe FTDX1200 CPU is provided for control functionssuch as contest memory keying, plus frequency andfunction control.EXT SPKR JackThis 3.5-mm, 2-contact, gold-plated jack providesvariable audio output for an external loudspeaker.The audio output impedance at this jack is 4 - 8Ohms, and the level varies according to the setting ofthe front panel [AF] knob. Inserting a plug into thisjack disables the internal loudspeaker.KEY JackThis 1/4-inch 3-contact jack accepts a CW key or key-er paddle. A two-contact plug cannot be used in thisjack. Key-up voltage is +3.3 V DC, and key-down cur-rent is 4 mA. This jack may be configured for keyer,“Bug”, “straight key”, or computer keying interfaceoperation via Menu item “020 R KEYER TYPE”.μ-TUNE JackThis covered 10-pin mini-DIN jack is used for con-trol of the optional RF μTuning Kit.CAT JackThis 9-pin serial DB-9 jack allows external computercontrol of the FT DX 1200. Connect a serial cablehere and to the RS-232C COM port on your personalcomputer (no external interface is required).
