42 FTM-10SR O PERATING M ANUALSTORING INDEPENDENT TRANSMIT FREQUENCY (ODD SPLIT)All memories can store an independent (in band) transmit frequency.The FTM-10SR has two methods of the Storing Independent Transmit Frequency; (1)Using the Standard Repeater Shift and (2) Using the Odd Split Memory for operation onrepeaters with non-standard shift.Using the Standard Repeater Shift1. Press the key to enter the memory mode. Then recall the memory channel on whichyou wish to store the Independent Transmit Frequency.2. Press and hold the key for one second to enter the Memory Channel Customizationmode.3. Rotate the DIAL knob to select Menu Item “M11 TX SHIFT”.4. Press the key briefly.5. Rotate the DIAL knob to select desired shift direction. Avail-able selections are “RPTR -”, “RPTR +”, and “SIMPLEX”.6. Press the [VOL/SEL] key to save the new setting and return to the memory recall mode.Whenever you recall a memory which contains independently stored transmit and re-ceive frequencies, the “ ” indication will appear on the display.Using the Odd Split Memory1. In VFO mode, tune to your desired transmit frequency. (Your transmit frequency shouldbe in the same band as the receive frequency).2. Press the key to enter the memory mode. Then recall the memory channel on whichyou wish to store the Independent Transmit Frequency.3. Press and hold the key for one second to enter the Memory Channel Customizationmode.4. Rotate the DIAL knob to select Menu Item “M11 TX SHIFT”.5. Press the key briefly.6. Rotate the DIAL knob to select “S-DUPLEX”.7.
