If “Fogging Oil” is not available, run theengine at engine idle speed until the fuelsystem empties and the engine stops.Check that the engine has stopped, andthen remove the spark plug. Pour a tea-spoonful of clean engine oil into the cyl-inder. Crank several times manually.Install the spark plug.13. Turn off the water supply to the outboardmotor, and then remove the water flushplug and tape.14. Drain the cooling water completely out ofthe outboard motor. Clean the bodythoroughly. Install the fogging hole capand top cowling.15. Install the propeller. For further informa-tion, see page 79.EMU39281Lubrication1. Install the spark plug and torque to prop-er specification. For information on sparkplug installation, see page 73.2. Change the gear oil. For instructions, seepage 80. Inspect the oil for the presenceof water that indicates a leaky seal.
