Before inspecting, remov-ing, or installing the propeller, place thegear shift lever in neutral, and remove theclip from the engine shut-off switch.Do not use your hand to hold the propellerwhen loosening or tightening the propellernut. Put a wood block between the anti-cavi-tation plate and the propeller to prevent thepropeller from turning.Checkpoints Check each of the propeller blades for ero-sion from cavitation or ventilation, or otherdamage.
