Allow the engine tocool.8 There will be fuel in the fuel filter. Keepaway from sparks, cigarettes, flames orother sources of ignition.8 This procedure will allow some fuel tospill. Catch fuel in a rag. Wipe up anyspilled fuel immediately.8 The fuel filter must be reassembledcarefully with O-ring, filter cup, andhoses in place. Improper assembly orreplacement can result in a fuel leak,which could result in a fire or explosionhazard.EMU00374Check the fuel filter periodically.The fuel filter is a one-piece, disposabletype. If foreign matter is found in the fil-ter, replace it. For replacement of the fuelfilter, consult a Yamaha dealer.
