Configure network settings.The phone will try to contact a DHCP server in your network to obtain networkparameters by default. If you uncheck the DHCP checkbox, you will need toconfigure IPv4 or IPv6 network manually. For more information, refer to ConfiguringLAN Properties on page 56.11. Press (Complete soft key) to complete the setup wizard. If you use Network Address Translation (NAT) to assign a public IP address to yourVC110 endpoint for communication with devices outside your private network, youmust enable NAT on your VC110 endpoint before placing calls. For moreinformation, refer to Network Address Translation on page 90. If your VC110 endpoint communicates with other devices through a firewall, youmust configure your firewall to allow incoming and outgoing traffic to theVC110endpoint through the reserved ports specified in Reserved Ports on page 87. Andthe required ports specified in Configuring the Endpoint for Use with a Firewall orNAT on page 87. Users placing calls through a firewall to endpoints mayexperience one-way audio or video if the firewall is not properly configured. If you are using Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) servers in your environment to placecalls using the SIP protocol, refer to Configuring SIP Settings on page 111. If you are using H.323 gatekeepers in your environment and want to place callsusing a name or extension with the H.323 protocol, refer to Configuring H.323Settings on page 115.
