Any network address information (IPinformation) that you configure for a hub, can be used to access thestack. The PS Hub has two built-in management interfaces which you canaccess locally (through the hub’s console port) or remotely (over thenetwork):n A Command Line Interface (CLI) — can be used to set up the stackwith network address information.n A web interface — provides easy management of the stack fromany suitable web browser. There is also a management application called Transcend QuickConfiguration Manager, referred to as ‘Quick Config Manager’ in thisguide, that is supplied on the CD-ROM. It runs under MicrosoftWindows ® and provides an easy-to-use graphical management system.Command LineInterfaceThe PS Hub’s Command Line Interface (CLI) is a simple text-based userinterface which allows you to configure some network information foryour hub. The CLI provides just a subset of the web interface’sfunctionality but is intended as a quick setup tool, to get your hubready for management over the network. You can use a Terminal orTerminal emulator to access the CLI.Web Interface The PS Hub’s web interface provides easy management of the stack. It behaves in a similar way to a web site on the World Wide Web inthat you access it using a web browser. You use its different pages tochange the network information in your stack and perform differentmanagement tasks.
