2-22z When a primary server, authentication/authorization server or accounting server, fails, the deviceautomatically turns to the secondary server.z Once the primary server fails, the primary server turns into the blocked state, and the device turnsto the secondary server. In this case, if the secondary server is available, the device triggers theprimary server quiet timer. After the quiet timer times out, the status of the primary server is activeagain and the status of the secondary server remains the same. If the secondary server fails, thedevice restores the status of the primary server to active immediately. If the primary server hasresumed, the device turns to use the primary server and stops communicating with the secondaryserver. After accounting starts, the communication between the client and the secondary serverremains unchanged.z When both the primary server and the secondary server are in the state of blocked, you need to setthe status of the secondary server to active to use the secondary server for authentication.Otherwise, the switchover will not occur.z If one server is in the active state while the other is blocked, the switchover will not take place evenif the active server is not reachable.Related commands: radius scheme, primary authentication, secondary authentication, primaryaccounting, secondary accounting.Examples# Set the status of the secondary server in RADIUS scheme radius1 to active. system-view[Sysname] radius scheme radius1[Sysname-radius-radius1] state secondary authentication activestop-accounting-buffer enable (RADIUS scheme view)Syntaxstop-accounting-buffer enableundo stop-accounting-buffer enableViewRADIUS scheme viewDefault Level2: System levelParametersNoneDescriptionUse the stop-accounting-buffer enable command to enable the device to buffer stop-accountingrequests getting no responses.Use the undo stop-accounting-buffer enable command to disable the device from bufferingstop-accounting requests getting no responses.By default, the device is enabled to buffer stop-accounting requests getting no responses.
