While using the main spool pin to sew orembroider, you can conveniently wind the bobbin usingthe supplemental spool pin.1 Supplemental spool pina Turn the main power to ON and open the top cover.b Align the groove in the bobbin with the spring on thebobbin winder shaft, and set the bobbin on the shaft.1 Groove in the bobbin2 Spring on the bobbin winder shaftc Place the spool of thread for the bobbin and the spoolcap onto the supplemental spool pin.Slide the spool onto the supplemental spool pin so thatthe thread unwinds to the front from the bottom.Otherwise the thread may become tangled around thesupplemental spool pin.1 The thread unwinds to the front from the bottom.d Slide the spool cap onto the spool pin as far as possibleto the right, with the rounded side on the left.WINDING/INSTALLING THEBOBBINCAUTION• The included bobbin was designed specificallyfor this machine. If bobbins from other modelsare used, the machine will not operatecorrectly. Use only the included bobbin orbobbins of the same type (part code: X52800-150). X52800-150 is Class 15 type bobbin.aabCAUTION• If the spool or the spool cap is not installedcorrectly, the thread may become tangledaround the spool pin, causing the needle tobreak.• Three spool cap sizes are available, allowingyou to choose a spool cap that best fits the sizeof spool being used. If the spool cap is toosmall for the spool being used, the thread maycatch on the slit in the spool or the machinemay be damaged.
