With Hearing impaired switched on, the television automatically switches tothe adapted audio and subtitles, if available. Before you can enable Hearing impaired,you have to enable Universal access.When Universal access is enabled and you are watching a TV channel, you can also pressLIST and select Options to bring up an on-screen menu where you can select Universalaccess and bring up and enable the Hearing impaired function.Audio descriptionDigital TV channels can broadcast special audio commentary describing what happenson-screen. To be able to set the visually impaired audio and effects, you have to switchon Audio description first.Before you can enable Audio description, you have to enable Universal access. WithAudio description, a narrator's commentary is added to the normal audio.When Universal access is enabled and you are watching a TV channel, you can alsopress LIST and select Options to bring up an on-screen menu where you canselect Universal access and bring up and enable the Audio description function.Available audio commentary are also shown in Audio languages found under Optionsin LIST.Mixed volume: If you enable the Audio description function, you can mix thevolume of the normal audio with the audio commentary in the Mixed volumemenu. Mixed volume is also available in Universal access brought up via Optionsin the LIST.Audio effects: Some audio commentary can hold extra audio effects, like stereoor fading sound. Enable this function in the Audio effects menu.Speech: The audio commentary can also hold subtitles for the words which arespoken. In the Speech menu, you can select between Descriptive and Subtitles.53
