For information about reading eBooks when in Barnes & Noble Bookstores, see “Read inStores” on page 88.To resume reading, tap reading now on the Home menu:reading nowWhen you tap reading now, you are returned to the last read page in the eBook or periodical thatyou were reading last on your NOOK, even if you have turned your NOOK off since you were lastreading.Supported File FormatsYour NOOK supports digital reading content (for example, eBooks and periodicals) in the followingformats:• ePub, including DRM-secured files and files without DRM• PDB, including DRM-secured files and files without DRM• PDF, including password-secured files and files that are not securedOrientationThe reading orientation is vertical (often called portrait orientation). You hold the reader upright,and text is displayed in lines across the reading screen.PDF documents can support rotated pages, though this is not common and not especially usefulfor eBooks. In such a PDF, one or more pages (and possibly an entire document) can have pagesthat have been rotated 90 degrees clockwise, 90 degrees counterclockwise, or 180 degrees. YourNOOK doesn’t exactly support such documents, but it tries. It does not rotate the text but doesrotate any graphics.
