NOOK User Guide Shop 76ShopYour NOOK’s wireless connectivity lets you shop for eBooks, magazines, and newspapers from theBarnes & Noble eBookstore from your NOOK. There is no need to visit a website. You can buysubscriptions to magazines and newspapers, or single issues.What you buy is delivered to your online digital library immediately and downloaded to your NOOKwithin about a minute. For a subscription, the current issue is delivered and downloaded.For the NOOK (Wi-Fi + 3G model), downloads of very large eBooks, periodicals, andmagazines require a Wi-Fi connection.Enter the Shop by tapping shop on the Home menu:shopYou can browse and search in the Shop on an unregistered NOOK. You just can’t buy anything. Ifyou try to buy something from an unregistered NOOK, your NOOK will prompt you to register.ShopfrontThe first page of the Shop is the shopfront. It is a navigable page with three parts:• Content types (eBooks, Magazines, and Newspapers) allow you to browse items of eachcontent type. Within a content type, you can browse subjects, for example, Romance andHistorical Fiction.• Collections contains lists of content, such as Bestsellers and New Releases.• A merchandising area at the bottom of the reading screen displays B&N corporatepromotions such as special offers. When you are in a Barnes & Noble Bookstore, themerchandising area also displays in-store special offers (look for More in Store). Themerchandising area can span several pages. Use the Next Page and Previous Page buttons toturn pages.
