This sets the minutes value of the time.2 Set the time zone in which you use your NOOK. Tap settings > Display > Clock > Time zoneand choose your time zone and settings > Display > Clock > Daylight Saving Time to turnDaylight Saving Time on or off.If you choose a time zone from the menus, and then travel somewhere with B&N Fast & FreeWireless coverage, your NOOK will switch to the time zone indicated by the wireless networkconnection, and Daylight Saving Time will be taken into account.If you travel back to an area without coverage, choose the time zone again and set Daylight SavingTime if necessary.Dropped Connections and Lost Wi-Fi ConnectivityIf your NOOK is performing an action over the air and the B&N Fast & Free Wireless connection isdropped (for example, if the signal strength is poor), or if the Wi-Fi network goes down, it will doits best to resume what it is doing. If it can resume, it will not inform you about the lost connection.If it cannot resume, it will inform you that you should repeat the operation in an area with bettersignal strength or when the Wi-Fi network is up again.In Areas with No Wireless ConnectivityIn areas with no wireless connectivity (no B&N Fast & Free Wireless, no Barnes & Noble Bookstorehotspot, and no manually configured Wi-Fi hotspot), you can still use your NOOK as an eReader.You can read anything that is in the local library on your NOOK. You can also obtain new B&Ncontent through an Internet connection on your personal computer (buy digital content from theBarnes & Noble online store), and then transfer the files from your computer to the My Documentspart of your library on your NOOK using the USB cable.
