Only use an approved power adapter. If you open the backcover, unplug the device from the power adapter and turn it off first.WaterYour NOOK is not a waterproof device. If it starts to rain, get under cover or put your NOOKaway. Don’t read in the bathtub. You could ruin your NOOK.Situations that Demand Your AttentionSome situations demand your attention. If you shouldn’t be reading a book while doing them, thenyou shouldn’t be reading on your NOOK either. Driving? Don’t even think about it. Operating atrain? Don’t be daft. Watching children? Yes, but only if you can do it in a way that fairly dividesyour attention and does not endanger them. Use common sense—the eBook will still be on yourNOOK to read tomorrow.AirplanesTo use your NOOK on an airplane, set it to Airplane mode.
