For thatprocedure, see “Disconnecting your NOOK from your Computer” on page 156.To choose a wallpaper image:1 On the Home menu, tap settings.2 Tap Display > Wallpaper.3 Tap the wallpaper image you want to use.4 Tap the Home button to view the wallpaper.Screensaver ImagesTo use your own screensaver images, copy them from your personal computer to top-levelsub-folders of the folder my screensavers. The names of the sub-folders are displayedin the Screensaver menu. You cannot place screensaver images in other locations in theinternal memory, or on a supplemental microSD card. For more information, see “Files andFolders” on page 163.Use one of the predefined screensaver sets Authors, Cityscape, or Nature, or provide your ownsets of screensaver images and then choose a set in Settings. Screensaver images must have filetypes JPG (or JPEG), GIF, PNG, and BMP.To copy screensaver images to your NOOK:1 On your computer, prepare the files you want to use as screensaver images. Collect them intoone folder on your computer, or into several folders (for example, “beaches,” “mountains,”and “cats.” Give each folder the name for the screensaver set. If images are in zip/archive files,extract them. (You can also extract them directly to the destination folders on your NOOK.)2 Connect your NOOK to your computer. For that procedure, see “Connecting your NOOK toyour Computer” on page 155.3 Open the nook drive by double-clicking on its icon. Then open the my screensavers folder.4 Open the folder on your computer above the one that contains the screensaver-set folder(s).5 Select the screensaver-set folder(s) on your computer and drag and drop (or copy and paste)the folder(s) to the my screensavers folder on the nook drive. The screensaver images mustnot be in the my screensavers folder, but rather in top-level subfolders.6 Close the window that displays the contents of the my screensavers folder.7 Eject/unmount the nook drive and disconnect your NOOK from your computer.
