The default rate performs well for configuration changes. A faster rateis useful, however, to download new software upgrades to your system.To change the baud rate through CFGEDIT:1. Select Physical Resources from the main menu.2. Select Data Line from the physical resources menu.3. Follow the instructions to make changes to the ASYNCMDM.4. When asked, enter the baud rate you want to use.5. Step through the remaining parameters. The last entry will ask you if you would like to saveyour changes. Answer yes.6. To make the new baud rate effective, restart the system (with therestart command).7. Change the communications package you are using to the same baud rate.To change the baud rate using Manage Mode:1. Enter the Manage Mode by entering the following command:>manage2. At the Manage Mode prompt, enter the following command:>ampconf change3. Follow the on-screen instructions for changing the baud rate.TELNET CONNECTIONYou can access the CyberSWITCH with Telnet. To do this, you must use Telnet client software.TheCyberSWITCH has default IP addresses configured to allow Telnet access. The default LAN IPaddress is 1.1.1.1. To access the CyberSWITCH you must set the device’s IP address to be on thesame subnet as the CyberSWITCH. We recommend that you use 1.1.1.2 and do this on a LAN thatis not connected to the internet. Then place the CyberSWITCH on the LAN and Telnet to theaddress.This default address allows immediate access to the system for installation purposes. Be sure tochange this IP address as soon as possible to one on your local subnet.
