CyberMONITOR OverviewCyberMONITOR User’s Guide2-7Figure 2-5 Chart by Protocols Drop Down MenuA statistic chart for Wide Area network interface port number 1, is shown in Figure 2-6, on thefollowing page. The IP Address of the device being monitored is displayed in the upper border ofthe chart. The interface statistic chart shows data vs. time (for transmit and receive) displayedalong the time axis. The units of measurement (Kilobits/sec) are shown on the vertical axis at the left side of the chart. The value of any point on the chart can be determined by moving the cursor (vertical red line)along the trace and reading the value in the upper left corner of the top panel of the chart. The date and time of the point of reference (cursor position) are shown in the upper left corner ofthe top panel of the chart. The scale displayed on the left edge of the chart is autosizing - it willchange in magnitude in response to peaks and valleys of the trace. In other words, this scale willchange as the cursor is moved along the trace. No event should ever be off-scale.The value shown in the upper right hand corner of the top panel of the chart, is the absolutemaximum value of the parameter being monitored. In the case of the chart in Figure 2-6, this value(total bandwidth) is 1536 Kbps. You can zoom into an area for better resolution by setting thecursor at the beginning of the area to be zoomed, clicking the left mouse button, and then draggingthe cursor to display the area to be zoomed. Releasing the mouse button will end the highlightedzoom area, and cause the display to be zoomed.Click the Reset Zoom button to return to the previous scale factor.
