Also, the Active Steering and the MagneticRide Control systems operate in the PerformanceMode. For more information, see “Active Steeringand Magnetic Ride Control” in the Index in theNavigation manual.STABILITY SECURE MODEIf your All-Wheel Drive (AWD) vehicle has theActive Steering with Enhanced StabiliTrak® option,this message displays when the stability control systemis in the secure mode. Stability Secure Mode is setautomatically when certain system faults or vehicleconditions are detected. When the Stability SecureMode is activated, the stability control system willnot respond to driver requests to change the stabilitymode until the next ignition cycle or until the vehiclecondition or fault is returned to normal. See EnhancedStabiliTrak ® on page 4-9.STABILITY SYS (System) ACTIVEThis message displays any time the StabiliTrak® systemor Enhanced StabiliTrak ® system is actively assistingwith directional control of the vehicle. Slippery roadconditions may exist when this message is displayed,so adjust your driving accordingly. This messagemay stay on for a few seconds after StabiliTrak®stops assisting with directional control of the vehicle.See StabiliTrak® System on page 4-8 or EnhancedStabiliTrak® on page 4-9 for more information.STABILITY SYS (System) NOT READYThis message displays if the StabiliTrak® system isnot ready. Two conditions may cause this messageto display:• The vehicle needs to be driven in a straight lineuntil the sensors are centered. Once the sensorsare centered, the StabiliTrak® system is ready andthe STABILITY SYS READY message displays.• The system needs to warm up. This may occurwhen first starting your vehicle and driving awayduring cold winter weather. This is normal. Toacknowledge this message, press the reset button.The StabiliTrak® performance is affected until theSTABILITY SYS READY message is displayed in theDIC.
