Have your vehicle serviced byyour dealer/retailer.SERVICE THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEMThis message displays when there is a problem withthe theft-deterrent system programmed in the key. A faulthas been detected in the system which means that thesystem is disabled and it is not protecting the vehicle.The vehicle usually restarts; however, you may want totake the vehicle to your dealer/retailer before turning offthe engine. See PASS-Key® III+ Electronic ImmobilizerOperation on page 2-23 for more information.SERVICE TIRE MONITOR SYSTEMOn vehicles with the Tire Pressure Monitor System(TPMS), this message displays if a part on the TPMSis not working properly. The tire pressure lightalso flashes and then remains on during the sameignition cycle. See Tire Pressure Light on page 3-60.Several conditions may cause this message to appear.See Tire Pressure Monitor Operation on page 5-61 formore information. If the warning comes on and stayson, there may be a problem with the TPMS, see yourdealer/retailer.SERVICE TRACTION CONTROLThis message displays when there is a problem with theTraction Control System (TCS). When this message isdisplayed, the system will not limit wheel spin. Adjust yourdriving accordingly. See your dealer/retailer for service.See Traction Control System (TCS) on page 4-6 for moreinformation.SERVICE TRANSMISSIONThis message displays when there is a problem with thevehicle’s transmission. Have your vehicle serviced byyour dealer/retailer.SERVICE VEHICLE SOONThis message displays when a non-emissions relatedmalfunction occurs. Have your vehicle serviced by yourdealer/retailer as soon as possible.SET SPD (Speed)If your vehicle has Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC),this message displays whenever the cruise control isset. First, the “CRUISE SET TO XXX MPH (km/h)”message appears. After a few seconds, the “CRUISESET TO XXX MPH (km/h)” message clears and themessage “SET SPD XX” displays at the bottom of theDIC.
