Whenroad conditions allow the cruisecontrol to be safely used, cruisecontrol can be turned back on.If the brakes are applied, the cruisecontrol disengages.J (On/Off) : Press to turn thesystem on and off. A white indicatorappears in the instrument clusterwhen cruise is turned on.+RES (Resume/Accelerate) : Ifthere is a set speed in memory,press the control up briefly toresume to that speed or press andhold to accelerate. If the cruisecontrol is already active, use toincrease vehicle speed. To increasespeed by 1 km/h (1 mph), press+RES up to the first detent. Toincrease speed to the next 5 km/h(5 mph) mark on the speedometer,press +RES up to the seconddetent.SET− (Set/Coast) : Press thecontrol down briefly to SET− to setthe speed and activate cruisecontrol. If cruise control is alreadyactive, use to decrease vehiclespeed. To decrease speed by1 km/h (1 mph), press SET− downto the first detent. To decreasespeed to the next 5 km/h (5 mph)mark on the speedometer, pressSET− down to the second detent.* (Cancel) : Press to disengagecruise control without erasing theset speed from memory.Setting Cruise ControlIf the J button is on when not inuse, SET− or +RES could getpressed and go into cruise when notdesired. Keep the J button offwhen cruise is not being used.1. Press J.2. Get up to the desired speed.3. Press and release SET−.4. Remove foot from theaccelerator.When the cruise control has beenset to the desired speed, a greencruise control indicator appears onthe instrument cluster and a cruiseset speed message appears on theHead-Up Display (HUD),if equipped.Resuming a Set SpeedIf the cruise control is set at adesired speed and then the brakesare applied or * is pressed, thecruise control is disengaged withouterasing the set speed from memory.
