That could causeinjury to the person sitting there.Always push and pull on theseatbacks to be sure they arelocked.{ WarningA safety belt that is improperlyrouted, not properly attached,or twisted will not provide theprotection needed in a crash. Theperson wearing the belt could beseriously injured. After raising therear seatback, always check to besure that the safety belts areproperly routed and attached, andare not twisted.To raise a seatback:1. Lift the seatback up. Make surethe centre seat belt and latchdo not get trapped behind theseat. Push the seatbackrearward to secure it in place.A red tab near the seatbacklever retracts when theseatback is in place.2. Push and pull the top of theseatback to be sure it is inposition.3. Lock the seatback using thevehicle key in the cylinder.4. Reconnect the centre safetybelt mini-latch to themini-buckle. Do not let the belttwist.5. Pull on the centre safety belt tomake sure the mini-latch issecure.6. Repeat the steps to raise theother seatback, if necessary.When the seat is not in use, itshould be kept in the upright, lockedposition.Heated Rear Seats{ WarningIf you cannot feel temperaturechange or pain to the skin, theseat heater may cause burns.See the Warning under Heatedand Ventilated Front Seats 0 60.If equipped, the buttons are on therear of the centre console.
