However, the inclusion of certain optionschanges the rating of some configurations to Class A. Todetermine which classification applies to your computersystem, examine all FCC registration labels located onthe back panel of your computer, on card-mountingbrackets, and on the cards themselves. If any one of thelabels carries a Class A rating, your entire system is con-sidered to be a Class A digital device. If all labels carryeither the Class B rating or the FCC logo ( ), your sys-tem is considered to be a Class B digital device.NOTE: Some Dell computer systems that are classified asClass B digital devices may include a built-in networkinterface controller (NIC). If your system contains a NIC,it is considered to be a Class A digital device only at thetime that the NIC is being used. When the NIC is notbeing used, your system is considered to be a Class Bdigital device.Once you have determined your system’s FCC classifica-tion, read the appropriate FCC notice. Note that FCCregulations provide that changes or modifications notexpressly approved by Dell Computer Corporation couldvoid your authority to operate this equipment.Class ANOTE: This equipment generates, uses, and can radiateradio frequency energy and, if not installed and used inaccordance with the manufacturer’s instruction manual,may cause harmful interference with radio communica-tions. This equipment has been tested and found tocomply with the limits for a Class A digital device pur-suant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits aredesigned to provide reasonable protection againstharmful interference when the equipment is operated in acommercial environment.
