• The card is not write-protected.• An initialize operation is not being performed on the card.To format vFlash partition:1. In iDRAC Web interface, go to Overview → Server → vFlash → Format.The Format Partition page is displayed.2. Click OK.The selected partition is formatted to the specified file system type. An error message is displayed if:• The card is write-protected.• An initialize operation is already being performed on the card.Viewing available partitionsMake sure that the vFlash functionality is enabled to view the list of available partitions.Viewing available partitions using web interfaceTo view the available vFlash partitions, in the iDRAC Web interface, go to Overview → Server → vFlash → Manage. The ManagePartitions page is displayed listing the available partitions and related information for each partition. For information on thepartitions, see the iDRAC Online Help.Viewing available partitions using RACADMTo view the available partitions and their properties using RACADM:1. Open a Telnet, SSH, or Serial console to the system and log in.2. Enter the following commands:• To list all existing partitions and its properties:racadm vflashpartition list• To get the status of operation on partition 1:racadm vflashpartition status -i 1• To get the status of all existing partitions:racadm vflashpartition status -aNOTE: The -a option is valid only with the status action.Modifying a partitionYou can change a read-only partition to read-write or vice-versa.
