While the TFA STS is still on the truck, inspect the equipment and shipping skids for any signs of damageor mishandling. If the system shows any damage, note it on the freight bill and file a damage claim withthe carrier within 24 hours.Contact Eaton Help Desk if damage has occurred, see paragraph 19.2 Getting Help for contact information.Do not attempt to install the system if damage is apparent.2. Compare the shipment contents with the bill of lading. Verify that all units and any ordered spare partshave been received. Report any missing items to the carrier and Eaton immediately.3. If the unit is stored before installation, store it in a dry environment within storage temperaturespecification (See paragraph 2.2 Specifications).Use the original packing materials or other suitable means to keep the unit clean.33..22 UUnnllooaaddiinngg,, UUnnppaacckkiinngg,, aanndd HHaannddlliinnggThe TFA STS is covered with an overhead plastic bag, shrink-wrapped, protected with corner cardboard, andstrapped to a shipping skid or pallet with metal straps. You should unpack your Eaton product with the samecare used in packing the product for safe and efficient delivery to your facility.1. Before moving the unit, check the unit size and weight (see Figure 1).2. Plan your route for moving the equipment. Ensure that all passages are large enough to accommodate theunit and support the weight. Check for any non-negotiable corners or offsets in hallways.3. Before removing packaging, use a forklift or pallet jack to move the unit on its shipping skid as close aspossible to its final installation position. Do not exceed a 10-degree tilt. Tipping the unit may cause it to fallwhich may cause damage to the unit or injury to personnel.4. Exercise care when handling STS system cabinet(s) to avoid equipment damage or injury to personnel.5. To remove the unit from its shipping skid, carefully cut the bands holding the unit or unit modules to theskid or palette. Use caution as bands are under tension and can cause personal injury. Remove all plasticwrapping and packing material from the unit. Use care not to scratch or damage the cabinet with sharptools.Do not remove the retaining bands securing the TFA STS to its pallet until the STS is near its final position andyou are ready to remove the STS from its pallet.Retaining bands are under tension; cut them carefully. Wear protective clothing and use eye, face, and handprotection when cutting bands.6. Ensure that the unit is located on a level floor with room to maneuver around it. Lift the STS unit off its skidor palette with a forklift capable of handling the weight of the unit. Lift the STS unit from the front.7. Keys are located on the unit:a. Keys for integrated keyed interlocks (or alternatively Kirk Keys) are in the locks in their associatedMSCW or MCCB.b. Front door keys are tied to the top front ventilation grill.
