Preheating is necessarywhen convection baking and for goodresults when baking cakes, cookies, pastryand breads. For ovens without a preheat indicator light or tone, preheat 10 minutes.Baking results will be better if baking pansare centered in the oven as much aspossible. Pans should not touch each otheror the walls of the oven. If you need to usetwo shelves, stagger the pans so one is notdirectly above the other, and leaveapproximately 11⁄ 2″ between pans, fromthe front, back and sides of the wall.Aluminum FoilNever cover the oven bottom withaluminum foil. You can use aluminum foil to line thebroiler pan and broiler grid. However, youmust mold the foil tightly to the grid andcut slits in it just like the grid.Aluminum foil may also be used to catch aspillover. To do so, place a small sheet offoil on a lower shelf several inches belowthe food.Never entirely cover a shelf with aluminumfoil. This will disturb the heat circulationand result in poor baking.Cut slits in the foil just like the grid.Oven MoistureAs your oven heats up, the temperaturechange of the air in the oven may causewater droplets to form on the door glass. These droplets are harmless and willevaporate as the oven continues to heat up.The oven has a special low shelf (R)position just above the oven bottom.Use it when extra cooking space isneeded, for example, when cookinga large turkey. The shelf is notdesigned to slide out at this position.Operating Instructions Safety InstructionsInstallation InstructionsTroubleshooting TipsConsumer Support14Using the upper oven.If your model has a door latch, do not lock the oven door with the latch during baking or roasting. The latch is used for self-cleaning only.
