Wash burner capsin hot, soapy water and rinse with cleanwater. You may scour with a plastic scouringpad to remove burned-on food particles.Center Griddle BurnerFor proper ignition, make sure thesmall hole in the section that fits over theelectrode is kept open. A sewing needleor wire twist-tie works well to unclog it.The slits in the burner heads must be kept cleanat all times for an even, unhampered flame.Clogged or dirty burner ports or electrodeswill not allow the burner to operate properly.Any spill on or around an electrode mustbe carefully cleaned. Take care to not hit anelectrode with anything hard or it couldbe damaged.You should clean the burner caps andburner heads routinely, especially after badspillovers, which could clog the openingsin the burner heads. Lift off when cool.To remove burned-on food, soak theburner heads in a solution of mild liquiddetergent and hot water for 20–30 minutes.For more stubborn stains, use a toothbrush.NOTE: Do not use steel wool or scouring powdersto clean the burners.After cleaningBefore putting the burner caps and headsback, shake out excess water and then drythem thoroughly by setting in a warm ovenfor 30 minutes.Round Burner BasesThe round burner bases are not removable.only the caps may be removed for cleaning.To clean the burner bases, use soapy waterand a plastic scouring pad. Wipe clean witha damp cloth.Make sure that no water gets into theburner bases. Allow them to dry fullybefore using.ReplacementReplace the burner caps. Make sure thatthe caps are replaced in the correctlocation. There is one oval (center) headand cap assembly.
