The oven door must be closed and all controls set correctly for the cycle to work properly.How to Delay the Start of CleaningMake sure the clock shows the correct timeof day.If your model has a latch, latchthe door.Touch the SELF CLEAN pad.Using the number pads, enter thedesired clean time.Touch the DELAY START pad. Theearliest start time you can set willappear in the display.Using the number pads, enter thetime of day you want the clean cycleto start.Touch the START pad.On models without a door latch, the doorlocks automatically. The display will showthe start time. It will not be possible toopen the oven door until the temperaturedrops below the lock temperature and theLOCKED DOOR light goes off.The oven shuts off automatically when theclean cycle is complete.When the LOCKED DOOR light is off,slide the latch handle to the left as faras it will go and open the door. If yourrange does not have a latch, the doorwill unlock automatically. The words LOCK DOOR will flash and theoven control will signal if you set theclean cycle and forget to close the ovendoor or forget to latch the door onmodels with a latch. To stop a clean cycle, touch theCLEAR/OFF pad. When the LOCKED DOORlight goes off indicating the oven hascooled below the locking temperature,unlatch the door (on models with alatch) and open the door.After a Clean CycleYou may notice some white ash in the oven.Wipe it up with a damp cloth after theoven cools.If white spots remain, remove them with a soap-filled scouring pad and rinse thoroughly with avinegar and water mixture.These deposits are usually a salt residuethat cannot be removed by the clean cycle.If the oven is not clean after one cleancycle, repeat the cycle. You cannot set the oven for cooking untilthe oven is cool enough for the door tounlock. While the oven is self-cleaning, you cantouch the CLOCK pad to display thetime of day. To return to the cleancountdown, touch the COOKING TIMEpad.
