33Installation3.8 Supply power to the analyzerDANGEROnly connect the AMTAX sc to the sc1000 power supplywhen the instrument is completely wired internally and it iscorrectly earthed.DANGERAlways connect a ground fault interrupt circuit (GFIC) or aresidual current circuit breaker (trigger current maximum at30 mA) between the main power supply and the sc1000.DANGERDo not use the controller power sockets as generalmains sockets. They are only designed to provide powerfor the analyzers.Important Note: The power plug serves in addition to the powersupply to isolate the device quickly from the mains wherenecessary. Therefore make sure that socket to which the device is connectedis easy to reach by each user at all times.Important Note: Unless the sc1000 that connects to the AMTAX scanalyzer is already fitted with ac mains overvoltage (surge)protection device, surge protection must be provided between themains connection of the sc1000 and the AMTAX sc analyzer if it isdemanded by the local regulation.Only supply power to the instrument after all plumbing connections, reagent installations and system start-up procedures have beencompleted.sc1000 power sockets can only be connected if a wide range115/230 V power supply is built into the sc1000 controller.
