40 Solving hardware problemsWhen the computer isturned on, the message“Insert a system disketteand press Enter to reboot”appears1 Remove any diskette from the diskette drive andrestart your computer.2 Restart your computer and use the Setup Utility tomake sure that startup devices are set correctly. Makesure the Disk Drive options for the drives you havedesignated as startup devices are set correctly. Forinformation about starting the Setup Utility, see“Starting the Setup Utility” on page 74.3 Make sure the power and signal cables are securelyattached to the back of the hard disk drive in thesystem unit.4 Insert the “Product Recovery and Diagnostics CD-ROM” into the CD or DVD drive and pressCtrl + Alt + Delete.
