332 Planning, Installing, and Managing the IBM System x3950 M2VMware daemon installationMake sure both the run-time and development libusb libraries are installed onyour VMware system. Execute the following rpm query command to check thatthe libraries are installed and the version numbers:rpm -qa | grep libusbThe command returns the following two libusb entries (if your version numbersare different, that is okay): libusb-0.1.6-3 libusb-devel-0.1.6-3If the command does not return these two libusb entries, install them. Both libusbRPMs are in the /VMware/RPMS/ subdirectory on your VMware CD.To install RSA II on VMware:1. Download or copy the following RSA II daemon package to the VMwareserver (xx is the version number of the RSA II package):ibm_svc_rsa2_hlp2xxa_linux_32-64.tgz2. Expand the .tgz file by using the following command:tar xzvf ibm_svc_rsa2_hlp2xxa_linux_32-64.tgz(Expanding the file creates an SRPMS directory.)3. Change directory to SRPMS:cd SRPMS4. Install the 32-bit source RPM Package by issuing an rpm command, changingdirectories, and issuing a second rpm command (xx is the version number ofthe RSA II package):rpmbuild --rebuild ibmusbasm-1.xx-2.src.rpmcd /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386rpm -ivh ibmusbasm-1.xx-2.i386.rpmThe RSA II daemon is ready to use.6.2.7 TCP/UDP ports used by the RSA IIThe RSA II uses several TCP/UDP ports for communication. If thecommunication with the RSA II passes through firewalls, it is important to knowwhich ports you have, so you can enable the firewalls and be able tocommunicate with the RSA. Table 6-3 on page 333 lists the default ports.Remember when you change the ports in the RSA you have to change them inthe firewalls too.
