3BASIC OPERATION14When you know the exact frequencyyou want to listen to, the quickest wayto tune it is by direct keypad entry.Remember that the frequency must bebetween 0.5 MHz and 1300 MHz.The diagram below shows the correla-tion between the function display fre-quency digits and the frequency.1. Select the frequencySelect VFO mode and the receivemode in advance then:Push the numeral keys in the sameorder as the frequency you want totune (including the decimal key).• If you make a mistake, push [CLR] andstart again.2.
