72Control MethodUsed in conjunction with LF.2 to adjust the control method.Unit: 1Value range: 0...4Factory setting: 0Adjustment values0 or 1 Open loop induction motor operation for construction, inspectionand test purposes only.2 Closed loop speed control. Valid when LF.2 = 2 or 4.3 Closed loop speed control with pretorque input active. Validwhen LF.2 = 2 or 4 and using a load weight system to providea pretorque signal to the drive. Analog inputs X2A.3 andX2A.4 serve as the pretorque input.4 Closed loop torque control. Valid when LF.2 = 3. Both analoginputs serve as torque inputs and are internally summedtogether. When using induction motors, the TORQMAX F5 can be run open loop ininspection to verify whether the encoder functions normally. By setting theparameter LF.30 = 0, the inverter runs the motor open loop. The encoderfeedback (motor speed) is displayed in parameter LF.89 but has no effect on theoperation of the motor. Therefore, this mode can be used to verify whether theencoder is functioning properly. Generally, when running empty car up theactual motor speed in LF.89 should be equal to the set speed in LF.88. If thesevalues are off by more than 20 rpm when running empty car up, there is mostlikely an encoder or encoder cable problem. When using permanent magnet synchronous motors only closed loop operation(2,3,4) is permitted.Running the TORQMAX open loop, in automatic mode, at high speed or levelingspeed can result in high motor currents and or poor performance. Always verifythat this parameter is set correctly before running in automatic mode!Parameter Description - Control Settingsi
