APRS-8ACCESSING RECEIVED APRS MESSAGESThis transceiver is capable of storing a maximum of 100messages in memory. You can easily access one ofthose.1 Press [KEY], [MSG].• The newer message the smaller number assigned; thelatest message is assigned 1.[POS]: Displays the latest position data of thecurrent station, if stored in memory.2 Rotate the Tuning control to select the desiredmessage using the cursor (s).3 Press the Tuning control.• If you select an incoming message, the following displayappears:[BACK]: Restores the list of messages.[NEW]: Create a new message.[REPLY]: Responds to the party from whom youreceived. Enters into message setting.[SEND]: Messages in the list that have not beensent are transmitted.[POS]: The position data of the transmitting stationis displayed (if the station data is available).[COPY]: Copies the GPS position data to Menu No.605 (MY POSITION).[N/H]: Switches between North up and Heading up.[ SET]: Sets the date and time from the GPSreceiver to the internal clock.[CLR]: Deletes the current message.• If you select one of your outgoing messages, the followingdisplay appears:[BACK]: Restores the list of messages.[NEW]: Create a new message.[EDIT]: Allows you to edit the transmitted message.[SEND]: All messages which can be transmitted willbe sent 1 time.[RE-TX]: When pressed for a message assigneda period (.), resets the retry counter to 5 moretransmissions.[CLR]: Cancels further transmissions of the currentmessage.The table below shows the meanings of the symbols to beshown in step 2.q MeaningMessage addressed to youB Bulletin message!
