APRS-18■ UITRACEWhen using the TM-D710 as a digipeater, set whetheror not UITRACE digipeat runs.When the received UI Frame character string matchesthe entered alias (for example, WIDE), the number ofhops (for example, 2-2) is processed and decreased by1 (for example, WIDE2-2 becomes WIDE2-1), and yourstation callsign is added to the UI Frame.Enter Menu mode and access Menu 620.1 Set UITRACE to [ON] or [OFF].2 Press the Tuning control.• You enter Alias Setting mode.3 Enter the UITRACE alias.• When running UITRACE digipeat, set the characterstring of the alias that is used.STORING USER PHRASESEnter Menu mode and access Menu 621.This function (clipboard image) allows you to pastephrases into the APRS message compilation mode. Youcan create up to 4 phrases each of which can consist ofup to 32 characters.• The user phrase function can only be used in the messagecompilation mode.• Before a message is copied, the number of letters cannotbe guaranteed. Only the number of letters available will becopied, the remainder will be truncated.• To copy a message, enter message compilation mode, press[F] to enter function mode, then press [PASTE1], [PASTE2],[PASTE3], or [PASTE4] to copy the message that has beenset up for each key.• If the user messages [PASTE1], [PASTE2], [PASTE3], and[PASTE4], are not set up, they cannot be used.STORING AUTO MESSAGE REPLYEnter Menu mode and access Menu 622.■ Auto Answer Reply While you are driving, for example, you cannotimmediately answer to received messages. On thistransceiver, you can program the message to beautomatically returned when a message is received.1 Rotate the Tuning control to select “ON”, then pressthe Tuning control.2 Rotate the Tuning control to select “TEXT”, thenpress the Tuning control.• The display for entering a message appears; the first digitblinks.• You can enter alphanumeric characters plus specialASCII characters.■ Reply To Callsign When there is a message you would like to reply to forthe specific callsign, preset that callsign for automaticresponses.
