45 ENReceiver OperationsConvenient functionsCenter Image mode(Only when the input signal is a 2-channelsignal in the DTS NEO:6 MUSIC mode.)In the CENTER IMAGE setting mode of the NEO:6 MUSIC listen mode,it is possible to enhance the center channel audio by adjusting the centersignal component.1 Press the RCV Mode key on the remote control unit to setit to the receiver control mode.2 Press the Sound key.3 Use the MULTI CONTROL @ / # (or the Multi @ / # keys)to select "CENTER IMAGE" on setup displays, and pressthe ENTER (or the Enter key).÷ When the center speaker is switched OFF, this mode willnot be effective.4 Use the MULTI CONTROL % / fi (or the Multi % / fi) toadjust the left-center-right output.LC E NSTOEURN DI M A G ER÷ Adjust the center component level.5 Press the Sound key again to return to the input indication.Midnight mode (DOLBY DIGITAL and DTS mode only)When watching movies at night , you might not be able to raise the volumeas loud as normal. Midnight mode compresses the dynamic range ofpreviously specified parts of the DOLBY DIGITAL or DTS sound track (likescenes with sudden increases in volume) to minimize the difference involume between the specified and non-specified parts. You might find this useful if you darken your room to watchmovies or listen to music.Each time you press the Dimmer key, the display’s brightnesschanges among the three available settings.Select the brightness level you find most pleasing.1 Bright2 Dark3 Dark (Indicators on the receiver are also OFF.)Sleep timerThe sleep timer function turns the receiver OFF (to the standby mode)automatically when the set timer period has elapsed.
