DHCP ReferenceWindows DHCP Client 327Windows DHCP ClientIn previous versions of Neoware Image Manager, the client’s IP set-tings were set as "statically assigned address" (even if the addresswas provided by the DHCP server), and set by the Neoware ImageManager integrated DHCP client. This behaviour could lead toissues with some DHCP servers where the lease was not regularlyrenewed. To prevent this situation from occurring, the Windows DHCP clientis now used by default. This means that clients will be set automati-cally to retrieve their IP addresses from the DHCP server, and willrenew their leases automatically. This configuration performs better in existing networks and is morecompliant with the DHCP requirements. However, if you want todisable Windows DHCP and revert to the previous behaviour (to usethe Neoware Image Manager integrated DHCP client instead), youcan edit the following registry key:Key: HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Services/BDRUPDValue: SetDHCP (DWORD)Set it to "0" to disable DHCP, or "1" to enable it.
