109Service Manual – SC6000 34 - Scrub System, CylindricalScrub DeckRemoving the scrub deck is a prerequisite tocompleting other procedures, such as servicingthe brush motors The procedure is generally thesame for all 3 scrub deck types1 For easier access, you may choose to removeone or both Scrub Deck Doors described onpage 1082 If available, position a furniture dolly,mechanic’s creeper, or similar wheeledplatform below the scrub deck to make iteasier to roll the deck out from under themachine3 Lower the scrub deck to a neutral positionRefer to the Deck Lift Actuator described onpage 110 for different options to completethis, including if the actuator cannot bepowered4 Loosen the hose clamp and remove the solutionline from the solution solenoid (C)5 Disconnect the solution solenoid connector (D)from the solenoid6 Disconnect the two scrub brush motor powerconnectors7 Remove the forward link arm retaining clipsand pins (A) from the scrub deck You may wishto tie up the link arms to prevent them fromgetting caught when you slide the deck out8 Remove the retaining clip and pin from thedeck lift linkage (B) After the pin is removed,you may wish to raise the lift actuator to keep it out of the way as you slide the deck in or out from themachine9 Slide the deck toward the rear of the machine so the deck lift linkage will clear the left brush motor, andthen slide the deck out from the right side of the machineNote: During replacement, note thatthere are two right brush motorconnectors, depending on whetherthe machine uses a cylindrical ordisk deck.AABCDCE
